I chose the work I submitted for the art show because it was taken in my backyard and represents simplicity in nature. The image is very clear and simple and the sun was out while I took it, so the lighting helped contribute to the clarity. I enjoy nature and natural landscape such as these bushes, which is why I chose it. The movement shoot was also my favorite shoot.

I hope that when people look at my work they will admire the clear composition and the simple subject. I tried to capture a subject that was not too complex, but still interesting. I hope that people will enjoy the elegance of the nature and how I captured movement in the work. The role that art plays in my life is important because I like to be creative. Photography has helped me to be more creative.
